Freestone Sales Group was born of an abiding passion for outdoor adventures. We’ve spent the better part of our lives backpacking, climbing, fishing, biking and skiing the Rockies. Our name was inspired by the way the Arkansas River’s constant flow over rock and sand continually changes the landscape, creating new and exciting vistas and challenges to be found.
In the same way, we believe the specialty outdoor market presents an ever-changing landscape with new and exciting challenges of its own. We offer our clients a retail relationship they can count on. Focusing on excellent service and support, we are always adapting and innovating our strategies, partnering with our brands to optimally position the products to consumers.
Stephen cut his retail teeth at Estes Park Mountain shop as an assistant buyer for the fly fishing department, followed by a move to Boulder where he could better pursue his passions of skiing, climbing and mountaineering. After 5 years of living the dirtbag skier dream, he landed a position with The Raven Workshop, representing lines including Ibex Clothing, Oboz Footwear, Nemo Camping Equipment, Dakine, and Pivot Cycles. After successfully growing the outdoor brands for a number of years, Stephen bought out the agency’s principal in 2018.
Corbin knows outdoor retail. He began his career, like most, as a part time sales associate at an outdoor retailer, called Mountain Hideaway, but was quickly promoted, due to his passion for quality and customer service, spending over 4 years filling the role of full-time manager and buyer .
Following that, Corbin took a position with Mountain Trading, representing 7 states from Arizona to Texas. Together they managed substantial growth for Kühl in the independent outdoor realm.
During this time, Corbin built a number of retail relationships and was co-awarded GOA’s “Agency of the Year” in 2017 and earned “Rep of the Year” in 2018.
